A versatile clamping and assembly table
Crank your jigs up a notch with this bench horse alternative.I might be the last woodworker to find out about Nick Engler’s YouTube channel, Workshop Companion, but in case I’m not, you should check out it out. Nick has authored many woodworking books, but from his charismatic presence on screen, you’d think he’s been hosting a PBS show for the past twenty years.
In this video, Nick demonstrates a very handy bench fixture for clamping anything and everything. I’ve seen many woodworkers use bench horses to support their work during glue-ups, but if you’re the type who likes to crank your jigs and fixtures up a notch, Nick’s assembly table might be just what you’re looking for.
Nick has the plan available on his website.

A nice take on the clamping table concept. I built mine into my outfeed. Location or portability will vary depending on your workspace. I can absolutely agree that such a beast is firing on all cylinders during glue ups. If you can fit a version into your space you will not be sorry.
I love Nick Engler's channel. Dude is awesome.
