Adding joinery in SketchUp with only native tools
You don't need to rely on add-ons or extensions for this method. In my previous blog post I showed how I add joinery details to a model. The methods I showed relied heavily on a few extensions. A good friend contacted me after that was published to suggest that I do something similar with no extensions. In this video I’m showing how to add mortise-and-tenon joinery along with dovetails to a simple Shaker table. I’m working in SketchUp Pro but this will work exactly the same way in SketchUp Make and SketchUp for Web.

Terrific video. Very helpful. I have been looking for a quick and easy way to do dovetails without Sketchup extensions.
