YouTube is a fickle beast—most of the time, it serves you the same old makers making the same old things. But sometimes… sometimes if you scroll far enough, you find gold!

This video by Bota Victor on YouTube is mesmerizing, and given that I’m taken to watching videos about metal lathes and milling machines, this scratches more than one itch for me. The mix of mechanization and art here is incredible! I know next to nothing about ornamental turning and it certainly looks like a hobby that you can’t just dip a toe into.
