These days, my YouTube watching is mostly limited to watching people do things I can’t do—primarily machinists. If I had the room and the money I’d likely have a metal lathe and a mill. But I don’t, so I watch people do that stuff on the internet instead. Recently, Inheritance Machining posted a great video that I thought you might enjoy. He was making a larger “box of shame” for his shop to hold the pieces that didn’t turn out as they should have. I guess machinists can’t just turn their mistakes into BTUs like us woodworkers can.

At some point most of you watching this will start screaming out about wood movement. I apologize in advance for the frustration you’ll feel as you watch someone trap a large panel in an immovable object. I sincerely hope it doesn’t prove to be a problem for him down the line, but I’m not optimistic.
