Dan has been a professional woodcarver, furniture maker, chairmaker, and educator since 1994. He operates a woodworking studio and small group workshop program in Rollinsford, N.H. When he isn’t teaching or working on custom commissions or period reproductions, Dan is usually busy in his shop pursuing his passion for traditional woodcarving. Recently, Dan was featured in two of our video workshops; Creating full-size drawings from a museum piece and Building a Queen Anne side chair.

In recognition of his dedication to the art and legacy of period furniture, Dan was named the 2023 recipient of the Cartouche Award by SAPFM. He is an active member of GNHW, SAPFM, and the New Hampshire Furniture Masters.
