With our Made You Look posts, most times we try and share videos that are smaller and could use a boost. That said, it’s nice to share when some of our fellow woodworkers have stumbled into mainstream attention.

This video by Wired features the incredible puzzle boxes of Kagen Sound, and more than 1.5 million people have watched it. Not only is Kagen’s work beautiful, but everyone loves trying to solve a good puzzle. It’s no wonder so many people have watched! Wired did a great job of making things understandable for most people, and I still gleaned a woodworking trick or two and lots of inspiration from this video.

Also, at 4:28 I cringed thinking I was watching a horrendous climb cut, but in fact there are two fences, one on either side of the bit—incredible! Kagen sure has his techniques dialed in.
