Review: Woodpeckers Dado Nut for SawStop Table Saws
Clever arbor nut lets SawStops accept a full dado stack
I use a dado set on my SawStop table saw quite a bit. When setting up wider cuts, I encounter a problem, running out of room on the arbor to fully seat the nut. In the past I’ve resorted to leaving off the arbor washer, but I’ve never felt good about that. Woodpeckers must have sensed my frustration and so has created a narrow-profile arbor nut with a washer built in. The Dado Nut can seat fully on the arbor threads, and it offers the support of a washer to keep the blades flat and cutting smoothly. The narrow nut is a little harder to get a grip on during installation, but that’s a minor trade-off for the improved performance.

Bought one last year at great expense because they weren’t available in Oz(are now, bugger!!), not used it yet for dado, but replaced the normal arbor nut on my fusion 3, not sure why, but I swear the generic blade that came with the Leguna works better, less run out and quieter.
