The Shop Fox model W1668 has an oscillating quill for spindle sanding. It works off an easily installed belt in the pulley housing, and it gives the sanding drum 3/4 in. of up-and-down movement for even wear. However, changing speeds with this model’s manual pulley system was a chore compared to others tested in this category. Setting plunge depth on this machine was also difficult.
