Alan Turner learned woodworking from his father (he was the “take-off” man on the tablesaw at age 6). Now mostly retired as a lawyer, he teaches at the Philadelphia Furniture Workshop which he founded in 2006 to provide woodworking instruction to all skill levels. He finds time to write a bit and take on the occasional furniture commission.
