Gerard Williams was born and raised in Los Angeles. Craving a deeper connection to nature, he moved to Vermont and learned cabinetmaking. From there, he apprenticed for years with a French ebiniste in New York, learning about the history and craft of Europe’s most extraordinary designers and artisans. Subsequently, he opened his own studio, creating pieces that have been shown alongside top studio furniture makers like Wendell Castle and Brazil’s Campana brothers.
