John served his woodworking apprenticeship training through the traditional British City & Guilds system. After 25 years as a journeyman woodworker he moved to the United States in 2005 where he started his own custom furniture business in Austin, TX. He is also a member of the Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Event staff and travels the country demonstrating hand tools and hand tool techniques for Lie-Nielsen Toolworks.
