An interest in architecture and a love of art led Judith Ames to a career making furniture. Her designs show her love of flowing curves, marquetry, and clever joinery: “Bodies move in curves and fit best into curved shapes,” she says. Ames and her husband, Hank Holzer, work at Northwest Fine Woodworking, a Seattle gallery and woodworkers’ cooperative. For more, visit holzerames.com and nwfinewoodworking.com.
