Nathaniel Brawley Hill
Nathaniel Brawley Hill grew up in rural northwestern Connecticut in a house built in 1739 and filled, by his art-historian parents, with American period furniture. The experience was not lost on Nat, who, after studying history at Hampshire College, attended the preservation carpentry program at North Bennet Street School and then restored period houses and barns. He builds custom furniture in Los Angeles under the name Brawley Made, and teaches at LA Woodshop, a combination school and cooperative workspace.
