I recently built wall cabinets for my garage along with 3 base cabinets. The base cabinets are (2) @ 36″ wide X 24″ deep X 35″ high and one 26″ wide X 24″ deep X 35″ high. They will be mounted (because of the gargae door opening) the two 36″ together with a 52″ gap then the 26 on the end. I am building a ladder type base frame to set them on and then mount them to the wall. The base frame will remain to keep the cabinets off the floor. Like all garage floors, mine slope so I need to level them. I plan on using HD levelers for this.
Now, for my question. My wife suggest building 2 base frames. She says build the smallest one first as it is at the end with the greatest slope and is only one cabinet, get it level then level the other one which has the 2 large cabinets on it, to the small one. I suggest building only one. My reasoning is I think it will be easier to level with only one base frame. My floor does slope quite a bit, 3 inches or more.
Any comments?
Thanks,
Jerry

considerations
I'm not sure I'm picturing your layout correctly, but my suggestion would be to consider the slope, and any variations, over the entire distance. Then, consider what that does to the height of each section. If the tops are to be in the same plane, that means the elevation from the floor has to vary. While level is nice, the variation in working height may be more inconvenient.
