The Oct’06 FWW had the article on 10 essential router bits. I recall not long after somebody was selling those as a set. Anyone remember? I’m interested in getting them.

Nice set, but not cheap either. Whiteside offers a 7pc basic set of top shelf US made bits for ~ $80 shipped. You could probably add more than a few extras with the savings.

thanks. that Infinity set is pricey. May go with Whiteside plus some additionals.
Every manufacturer sells sets of bits, so I assume lots of people want to buy bits that way.
However, I always urge folks to buy the individual bits as you need them, since what you need will depend on what type of work you want to do. Too often, a set will include bits you end up never using.
