Frank Miller Lumber in Union City Indiana has qs/rs cherry (they don't separate out qs and rift) and I think they have 12/4, but I didn't ask if it was qs/rs. An alternative would be to try to find 16/4 and resaw at an angle to make your own 12/4 rift. Just a thought. People in your area with portable band saws may already have cherry mantle beams cut and air dried, as another alternative. You'd have to bring inside and finish drying, which might take a while.
I just got some 12/4 cherry from Horizon wood products.Check out their site horizonwood.com they are very helpful.I also found videos on this site of their whole operation.
