I am in the market for a new band saw. Does anyone have experience with the new Grizzly G0555 14″ saw? Looks like a deal but I do not own any Grizz. tools. Thanks for any help.

Bob,
I just asked a similar question about Grizzly tools and bandsaws in particular. I'm in the market for a 16" steel frame though. I haven't made up my mind yet but hope to have one in the next month.
Go to advanced search, towards the bottom there's the option to look for a discussion number. Type in 11209.1 - that's the discussion number for the question I posted. There where lots of good advise and help.
Good luck!
Thanks for the info I"ll try the link you said.
I cannot help you, because you don't say what you want to do.
I have a 1-1/2hp 14" Delta with a 6" riser.
I am just a small shop at home for projects around the house I don't do this for a living. I guess I really just like good tools for my personal use. I like to have more tool than I need sometime. I have thought about the riser kit also,I may at sometime to resawing that requires it . Thaks for any info. Bob
If there's any possibility you'd use the capacity afforded by the riser kit, it's much more efficient and economical to get it with the new saw. That way, you don't have to partially disassemble it later to install the kit, and you don't have to toss a bunch of blades that no longer fit the machine. You can get the longer blades right from the get-go.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Yea, I think I am going to get the riser kit too, like you say it would be cheaper now instead of having a bunch of blades later that would not fit. Thanks for the input!!!!
