Do you have that model # right? I was just looking at the 28-299A which is the "Limited Edition". Tools Plus (toolsplus.com) has it listed at $699.00 with fence, mobile base and a few other things. If that is the saw that you are interested in, count me in, because I would like some input also.

The 28-299B is the newer version of the 28-206. The big difference is the 299 Bravo has a 1 1/2 HP motor. The 206 is the older version and has a 1 HP motor. What you give up is the table size. The 299 Bravo has a 14" x 14" table. The 206 has a 16" x 16" table.
An of course the price. The 299 Bravo list for $829 at Tool-Crib. The 206 list for $599. The price you got from ToolsPlus is excellent. Both are good BS's. Just depends what you're gonna do with it and ultimately how many hoss's you feel you'll need for now and the future.
Risers available for both, I do believe.

Thanks for the info, well, I would like the 1 1/2HP with the bigger table. It's strange that Delta would offer a smaller table. I suppose that it all has to do with $. I have also looked at the 18" JET, but a lot of reveiws thought that it was underpowered. I guess that I'll keep on lookig. Thanks Again!

I would go with the 1 1/2 HP also. I looked at the 16" Mini-Max at the WoodWorking Show this spring in Atlanta. I really like it. It has more features and just as much re-saw capacity as their 18". Go figure.. It's expensive, but if you do a lot of re-saw probaly worth the price of the ticket.
Why can't someone build a hand machined, close tolerance, industrial strengh machine for about $200 so all of us can afford it. I'll ponder that one as I head down to build a base for my wife's latest request. ha..ha..
Catch you latter...

Thanks for all the feedback from everyone that responded. I'll just have to make up my mind. Thanks again. BOB
They make extension tables, thus increasing the table size and performance. I would get the bigger HP and step up to a bigger table as an acessory.

I just bought one and I love it. I especially like the quick release on the blade tension.
