I have the G1073 which is the 16" bandsaw. Have it and use it often for about 10 or 12 years. This may be the best machine tool I have ever bought ,regardless of cost.
With the exception of replacing the switch ( $3.95 ) I have had no problems. 2 hp doesn't bog down resawing thick hardwoods. Heavy cast iron construction eliminates vibration. The saw weighs about 400 lbs.If you intend to move it around the shop, then Shopfox has a mobile bass for it.
I have resawn 800 bf cherry, at least 2000 bf white and red oak, probably another 1000 bf of mixed hardwoods and softwoods. This saw usually gets 3 to 4 hours of use each week.
The only draw back would be cutting height,7 5/8" is about the thickest board you can resaw.I believe the saw ran about $700.00 with shipping . This saw is no longer being made . There isn't much to ever need replacing on it except, bearings, tires, switch, all standard parts for any machine.
If the saw is in good condition, I would think $350.00 to $400.00 would be a fair price.
