Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a 1988 (according to the manual) Delta Contractor’s TS with the Unifence extension and mobile base ($200 w/4 unopened Forest blades). It appears that it was rarely used by the hobyist owner as it has no signs of wear. I have just a couple questions.
1) It is thankfully configured with what appears to be 220v, however, the 1.5 hp motor states 115/230. When I get my electrician to wire some new outlets do I need to request a special 230v outlet for this saw? Please excuse my poor knowledge of electronics.
2) Is there anything peculiar to this saw that I should look out for during set up/use?
Thanks, Todd.

Don't worry about the voltage spec. The power coming from the utility company probably varies between 220 and 240 volts anyway. What matters as much is the current draw, but you could probably run the saw on 110-120 volt 15 ampere outlets with no problem.

"I have never written a check faster." I'll bet! I can see it now: "Uh-oh, can't find my pen. That's OK, give me a nail. Blood's indelible."forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
