After alot of consideration I have decided to place my order for the Agazzani bandsaw. Mini Max is also a great machine but it seem’s a few post’s I have read nudge the Agazzani a bit higher. The reason for this post is to see if there may be new members out there that own one of these saws that would also like to offer their opinion. Or others that have seen both these saw’s. I also want to add these would be my only two choices I am not interested in the Laguna even though it is a fine saw.
Thanks
Dale

I Know what you mean about Laguna. Yuck expeirence.
I just bought the Minimax 16 and am very happy with it. I don't know about the Agazzani, but I feel the Minimax is a way better machine than the Bridgewood/Laguna. The people at Minimax have been great so far.
Enjoy your new saw. In my opinion all the Italian saws are a step ahead of the rest.
Good luck with your saw. Yes, Eric at MiniMax is great to deal with. It makes me whish I could afford both. I will see how other post's respond like I said it is a tough decision.
Thanks

Hi,
I'm in the market for a decent bandsaw....want to buy a good one the first time around..for a change.
Can you direct me to a website for this bandsaw?
Thanks!

Thanks! Very nice bandsaws!
Take a good long look at Minimax.
Check out their upper guide assembly. Compare weights. Price is always a factor.
Laguna is way overpriced for what you get. If you are looking at the Laguna, for sure check out Bridgewood. Same machine. Made in Italy only they come with a US motor.
I sure like my MM.The proof is in the puddin'
I have a couple of questions for you...
First off, what put you off about the Laguna. I know they spend a bunch on advertising, and you wind up paying for that...
Secondly, do you have any articles / webpages that helped you in you decision process?
Last, have you (or does any one else know) checked out how the higher end Grizzleys compare to the Agazzani, MimiMax and Laguna?
If you can't tell, I'm interested in a high end BS too...

I have seen a couple Laguna's in area shops and felt that I could do better. Plus the rep from Laguna was a pain in the a$$. He was more concerned about his wallet than me getting the right saw. I do own a 18" Jet at this time and it has been a great saw, the reason for a new saw is I out grew the Jet. So since I own a Taiwan saw now I want to move up this is why I am not looking at the Grizzly saw's. My decisions are based from reading the forums and talking to the reps and owners of these saw's. The great thing about the two reps I am dealing with is they are not knocking one anothers saw's they simply mention the reasons why I should go with theirs vs the other. They admit I will be happy with either one. But I do want to make the decision this weekend and send out a check. This is the toughest tool purhase decision I have ever had to make.

First let me say I’ve known Jesse at Eagle for about 25 years and he is straight shooter! And I don’t work for him.
I to am looking at band saws and went up to Eagle to look at Agazzani. I got lucky; he also had a used Laguna so I could compare them side-by-side. Hands down Agazzani wins. It’s hard to explain but you can see its better. I wiggled the guide assembly on both and it moved quite a bit on the Laguna not an all on the Aggie.
I was up at Sam Maloofs shop and asked his guys about their Laguna and Agazzani they all said they like the Aggie best.
Also Jesse has his guy spend at lese one hour checking each saw before it goes out.
Jeff in so cal where the Angles are going to win the World Series!!!!
Thanks Jeff
This is what I like to hear.

I will let you know the outcome. I only whish I could afford both. The help from both dealers has been excellent, It makes the choice even harder.

I have the b24 and am happy with everything but the fence. It is not so great. you can compensate for blade drift very well but each time you move the fence you must check it with a square to the table. It doesn't slide nicely either.
I would still highly recomend the b24 though, it is a great saw. The guides and adjustability are good. very powerfull 4.8 hp 3 phase!
