Is there any way to make an antique 4 post bed which is 48 inches wide to 55 inches wide and use the same wood bed rails?

Probably not.
I don't know of a wood stretcher, so the short answer is probably not. I'd make new 55-inch cross rails and do my best to match finish of the originals, and retain the originals just in case.
The only way you might lengthen the originals would be to add a back piece that runs the full 55-inches, and then install a medallion or other impact piece in the middle of the original rail. Not sure how exactly how that would look. A lot depends of what the original style is.
