3/4″ prefinished maple plywood :
Hello all,
In the FWW issue #196 (Feb. 2008), Norm Abram suggest using 3/4″ prefinished maple plywood to eliminate the need to finish the inside of the cabinets. I found that to be a good idea and a real time saver, but I haven’t had any luck finding such material in Quebec.
Does anyone know of a nearby supplier in the North East USA or Eastern Canada (Ontario, New Brunswick, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts)?
Thanks in advance,
gabriel

Gabriel, I got mine at Boulter Plywood in Somerville, Ma. 3'4" was something like $75 a sheet. They also had 12" as well. They were easy to deal with and I think they deliver anywhere.

90% of anything we have for wood products in the Northeast US comes from Canada. Check with some of the larger cabinet and millwork shops in your area. Ask them who their commercial plywood supplier is. I use a lot of Norbord products, they make pre-finished plywood, too. Robert Bury Panels is listed as a distributer in Quebec, sure would beat dealing with import duties. Norbord is some of the best quality available.

Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Robert Bury in St-Laurent has it, thanks a lot for the help!
That Norecore is the cat's meow. The veneer quality is primo.
