I’m using my Bosch 1273 4 X 24 belt sander a lot here of late and am pretty disappointed with the dust collection that I’m getting with my 2hp 2-bag dust collector. The sander is soon going to need replaced. Is the new Bosch any better? Should I consider another brand? Should I be using my shop vac instead of the dust collector? Thanks for your help.

Are you trying to collect sander dust with the (typically) 30micron bags that came with your dust collector? If so, suggest you replace the collection bags with 1 micron or 5 micron bags (Penn State is one supplier), or with the new cartridge/plastic collection bag from Jet. Good luck.
