i’m putting a new counter top in my kitchen, it’s L shaped 110″x 115″ with a two basin corner sink. It appears that the most appealing seam will be a 45 deg but joint in the corner. I”ve had good luck with 90 deg joints in the past , but this 45 deg thing has got me worried.
My plan is to make a jig to pre cut corner with both pcs clamped toghter.
Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.
TIA, (thanx in advance) Pebbles.

I recently had countertops made for a kitchen which has an "L" shape. The couter top man actually did not put the joint on a 45 but instead put the butt joint at about 25-30 degrees. When queried about it he said that the eye tends to look for a joint at 45 and in this case one is not there which makes it look like a solid surface. The joint is barely visible and when he was installing the counter I had to look closely to find it.
Hope this helps.
Thanx 4 the info, Pebbles
I have done this in the past and can understand your anticipation. I made 2 mockups from MDF first and made trial cuts before tackleing the real thing just to be sure my fixture would work. It did and the final results were great and I could still use the MDF for other patterns and fixtures.
Thanx for the information, Pebbles
