I own a 6″ Jet jointer and have been having trouble raising the infeed table. I’ve had this problem for awhile but never decided to tackle the problem. Shouldn’t I be able to raise it so it’s level with the outfeed table ?

Have you tried releasing the locking pin on the back side, opposite the rotating adjustment handle on the front?
Frosty
Yes I did, however is that the only part that needs loosening to move the infeed table? Does something need lubricating; besides my brain ?
I had , what appears to be your problem, when I first got my jointer. Now all I do is loosen the 'threaded lock lever' and pull out the travel limiting pin right next to it. I have to back off on the height adjustment first, to release the pressure on the pin. No lube needed.Good luck,Frosty

Thanks! I did finally get in touch with a Jet technician. He suggested I remove all the depth stop pins and lubricate the gib. ( That was not the problem) I did pull the stop handle out after much difficulty and found it to be bent. I straightened it out reassembled it and all is work great now. All this time, I could never pull the stop handle out and did not realize it wasn't operating properly.
I'm glad it worked out for you. My pin was very tight at first. I had to use a screw driver to wedge it out the first time. It is a good solid mach otherwise.Frosty
