I picked up a Ryobi 10″ bandsaw in excellent condition off craigslist for a great price. I’m looking to buy a couple blades for it (mainly one for resawing and one for more scroll work). The manual says it takes a 67″ blade, but those seem pretty tough to find at least not in a wide selection (in other words, I can get better prices on 67 1/2″).
Can I use a 67 1/2″ blade on there? I would think it would work as there’s a lot of tension adjustment, but wasn’t sure.
thanks for any help.

What's a quarter inch among friends?
You probably can use the 67 1/2 blade, although not guaranteed. There is likely enough travel in the blade tensioner to accommodate the extra quarter inch it needs. You will need to check that you are getting enough tension on the blade; it is possible that the factory tension gauge may not register quite correctly with the longer blade, although they usually aren’t very good in the first place. Best check the tension manually. FWW and others have some good articles on this, just bear in mind that the little Ryobi can’t take as much tension as a 14 inch cast iron Delta or the behemoth 18 inch saws.
In short, give it a try and see if it works.
There are websites that offer custom to weld services. 67" band saw blade would certainly work as recommended on your manual. Try to check sawblade.com .
