For one of the basic workbench plans a 7″ groz rapid action vise is recommended. I have not been able to find anyone who sells this vise online. Woodcraft.com no longer carries the full vise though they do carry the vise hardware. Does anyone know of anywhere I can find this vise I have tried searching for it.

I believe it was a knock-off of the Record vise. Grizzly sells a similar knock-off.
the budget
If your budget can be stretched a bit, I'd recommend buying a Jorgensen vise instead. There are few things more frustrating than a poorly made vise.
