We have an 80-90 year old Locust Tree ready to harvest with an unobstructed fall line. Located in Northern Westchester County, NY. We are looking for someone who will use the wood for furniture, ship or sculpture making. Any Ideas or contacts please.

It seems unlikely to me that a large lumber mill would be interested in a single tree. But, you might try looking in your regional Craig's List postings for small mills or individuals with portable mills. (My assumption is that you just want to get rid of the tree.)
Locust
Not sure if it has to go... it is more a financial choice and honoring the land owner's legacy and love of arts.
I had a 'true'.. very large black walnut that went down
Nobody wanted it.. I was NOT SELLING IT.. I wanted to give it away for some woodwroker..
I would guess it was ground up for chips or whatever... I sure hope that it was not used in our local village parks as 'land fill'.. under the wonderful swings in our local parks.. Children play there.. Not sure walnut makes a perfect playground..?
sorry about your black walnut ... that is a wonderful wood.
Luckily for us this tree is standing and very healthy. We have several marine leads with two wooden boat builders and someone to mill if needed. Thanks and I hope your day is brighter!
