After 3 years of working on and off I’ve reached the finishing stage on my mahogany Highboy…see above pix. I have now applied a dark mahogany stain and thought I would try a water based finish. So I bought a gallon of the Enduro water based lacquer.
Does anyone have any experience with this product? Any thoughts/recommendations?
thanks!

Does the picture you posted show the piece after stain was applied or before? What stain did you use? Brand and color.

Wow - master piece ! Can't see much of the base but from what I can see it's golden. Steve will guide you through the finishing. I would say enhance the inlayed borders - darken the hardware - and some treatment to the end grain will be a plus.

Test it first
I have to admit, my first thought was "Don't ruin something that beautiful with a water based finish!" My more calm, rational thought was to test is on similar wood with the stain on it, and see how it looks. A piece like that seems to want lots of coats of shellac with an amber cast to it to bring out the warmth and depth of the wood, or maybe a couple coats of shellac sealer with a varnish if more protection is needed. Water base to me seems to make darker wood cold and lifeless.

Thank you for posting this photo. Several more to follow it I hope. Please.
Just when I thought real woodworking was dead.
