   david/frosty,

   is it just me, or have you noticed that every so often some one posts this sort of "essay"?  i sort of envy the writing style, know what i mean?  it's funnier than $hit,  long-winded and completely inexplicable!

   Yes, I've noticed from time to time and I often can't figure out if it's someone who's just lost in cyberspace or if he's yanking our chain.  But this guy's style sounded to me like the kind of rantings typical for a Chinese armed with a spell-checker.

                The same writer must have written the warning on a motor that came with a machine i once had , it read :

                  " do not overload motor or you will get motor burnout "

   Dusty my friend, there are entire websites devoted to this kind of stuff (like Engrish.com), but here's a bit of an actual text I came across in China while visiting a jade exhibition:

   From the beginning of encient tince jade is best carving matirial for the hand crafts.  Jade carving is sel higher price, most of jade carving produces, now keep in the Beijing Palace Museum are priceless treasure.  Art treasures collect in country are obliterated gloriously for all the nationalities-culture of China.

   Perfectly clear, right?

   Warnings...

   I tell my clients when I do a handover on irrigation controllers they can read the Fat Manual that tells not to lick the wires..., or read my cheat sheet.  They look at me like Really?
