Just got my first biscuit joiner — a DeWalt.
I’m looking to build some simple interior built-in cabinets using 3/4″ MDF. Is there anything special I should know about joining MDF using biscuits? Do I need to reinforce with screws or brads?
Thanks.

since the glue contains water, using biscuits on MDF can cause splits on the edge as the biscuit expands, or at the least can leave a slight bulge on the surface. I only use biscuits in solid wood and 3/4" ply myself.
I've used biscuits with 3/4" MDF. Havn't had any problems.
I have a JUNK ROIBI and it works GREAT!.. I use Gorilla glue. and sand the outside AFTER.. Hell, I could drive my old TANK over it!
wood glue can cause slight swelling in MDF. Though it is not likely to be a problem. The only real advise I can give is to not use the fence unless you have to. It is always better to reference off the bottom of the plate joiner.

Make sure that your next project is beyond your skill and requires tools you don't have. You won't regret it.
