I just finished a project for my brother-in-law that required a lot of sanding with my palm sander. After a couple hours of sanding my hands were tingling from the vibrations of the sander. The tingling took a few hours to go away. The next day I tied a pair of mechanics gloves for use with impact tools and had no problems with tingling. The gloves were thin enough to handle the wood without being bulky like regular work gloves. Just be sure to use a new pair or you may end up with oil or grease on your latest project. I now have a pair just for woodworking.

I use a pair of bicylist's gloves. They have a gel padded palm and are fingerless. They are also great for when I use my pressure washer.
