Hello Folks,
have any of you ever used Deft’s Waterborne Clear Wood Finish (http://www.deftfinishes.com/trade/OurProducts/details.cfm?ProductID=1 ) ?
Personally I like using lacquer because of its clarity (been using Watco) but would not mind starting using a water based lacquer. However I am not equipped for spraying and Deft’s product is the first time I hear about a brushable water based lacquer. OK, technically it may not be a lacquer but it sure looks like it has the same attributes…except for the smell I am sure 😉 Anyway, if anyone used it please do tell how your experience went.
Also, if anyone knows a store in the Ottawa (ON) region who carries this product please let me know.
Thanks,
Senomozi

It appears to be a standard waterborne acrylic. In the tech sheet it lists the drying time, and that seems slightly longer than some other waterbornes. That should help if you are brushing.
Watch out for ammonia contact (glass cleaner, etc.), other than that give it a try and let us know what you think.
