Charlie, it's a reference to the condition of the front and back of the sheet "A" is good with no big blemishes, the "C" on hopefuly the back side has blemishes, hopefuly solid knots and "Dutchmen" or plugs that fill in spots in the veneer that had voids. There is a complete scale in the ply business and it gets more fussey in fine veneer ply. Pat
