Not sure where to post this, possibly I could get some input?
I am fabricating 19 “I” section curved trusses for a new shop. Basically I cut a curved OSB web and laminate 1/2″ plywood chords top and bottom. The end product is a curved TJI. The last time I did them for a house, I used epoxy to glue the 3 layers of plywood together. This was quite satisfactory although I am not a big fan of dealing with epoxy. Does anyone have an alternative suggestion? Ease of application and cost is an issue. The trusses are 32′ long and the total lengths of chords are 3,648 Lin. Feet. So application and cost are an issue.

There are a few alternatives, but the most commonly used glue for this type of work is a urea resin glue, which is what the plywood veneers themselves are glued together with. Two well known brands are Weldwood and Unibond.
Urea resin glues are fairly economical and relatively easy to work with but you will need to have respiratory protection especially if you use a glue that comes in a powdered form. Given the size of your job I would contact a few of the manufacturers of the glues to get specific recommendations for your project.

Thanks for the input. I will look into Urea resin glues. I talked to one glue distributor who recommended a PVA class II glue. The trusses are used in a covered environment with moderate heat change. Since I am stapling the lamenants up, no clamping is necessary which lends itself to the PVA.

Your trusses would be load bearing, so you might want to be sure to use whatever adhesive truss manuacturers use. They would use the most convenient and least expensive that would be acceptable. white and yellow glue don't dry "rigid" which would concern me with this application. UF glues dry very rigid. Just my two cents.
