Hi, I’m having trouble in getting the template to the correct size. I down loaded the plans pdf., no problem. I then printed the plans out and then cut out the templates ( for the arms and sides) and enlaged them to 400% as suggested but the dimensions on my enlarged template are not those written on the templates themselves. Any suggestions?

Dear MafutaMike,
I've relayed your message to our art director; we'll check the plans again to be sure they're correct. It would help if we know how far off your enlargements are. Is it just a small fraction of an inch, or is it a big discrepancy? The reason I ask: Some photocopy machines don't enlarge things precisely, so if you're off by, say, 1/16 in., the fault could lie in the copier.
Let me know.

Dear MafutaMike,
An update from our art director. Here's what he had to say regarding enlargements of the Adirondack chair plans:
I think the problem is that he's working from a print out of the PDF instead of the actual magazine. When I tried it here, the print out was at a smaller scale than the magazine and that would throw things off when you go to enlarge it. My suggestion is to enlarge the print out of the PDF until the length of the side template equals 9 1/8 in. then enlarge 400 percent.
Let me know if that works for you.
