Hello All,
I am building a built-in entertainment center and need some advice.
My opening is 93″ high and 76″ wide and my TV is 66″ wide, my question is what would look the best with the 5″ stiles on each side of the cabinet. I have open shelving above the TV and 4 doors below the TV
Sould I run the 5″ stile all the way up the side or break it up with something like a 1 1/2″ stile for my open shelving and doors with the 5″ just where the TV is.
Thanks, in advance.

How about 5 inch fluted styles . Either way I would run them all the way
I like the Fluted stiles idea. That is probably what I would do, unless you want to get fancy then you could do a fluted collum just where the TV opening is capping it with a corbel and mantel, or psuedo 2" mantle, or a deep bull nose. A big blank 5" wide stile can look.... like it is missing something.

I would run the stiles the full height of the unit. I would install these after the carcasses are assembled and in place. Leave them a little wider than the 5" and scribe them to fit against the side of the opening. This arrangement will also cover-up the space between the cabinetry and the opening that you will need to install everything properly. I try to never crowd pieces in the opening-it's asking for trouble.
