Advice Laguna 14BX Versus Grizzly Anniversary edition 17″ Band Saw
This will be my first band saw. I have been building Ukuleles and may make some guitars in the future. My 10″ small Craftsman band saw doesn’t have the capavcity to cut necks or resaw anything, so I am looking for something better. I will probably buy new.
The Grizzly is arger and has a striong motor, but has aluminum wheels. The Laguna is more expensive, but has cast iron wheels and a cool foot brake that is very attractive to me from a safety standpoint.
Will the larger size and larger throat outweigh the cast iron wheel and brake system advantage?
Any advice is appreciated.

I've got the Laguna 14BX, 240 volt. I don't know if you'll find somebody that's has experience with both of these saws. I like my Laguna very much, but I suspect you'd like the Grizzly too. Do you need a bigger saw?
He bought his saw 4 years ago.
