I am going to check out a delta dj 15 tomorrow. I will take a scrap piece of wood, an accurate straight edge, and a square. Anything else? All input and advice appreciated.

one other question how does this jointer stack up to a Grizzly G0586 8"?
have till monday if any one has an opinion.
In good shape the DJ15 is probably the best quality 6" jointer. BUT, with jointers the wider the better, so a decent 8" jointer is generally a better choice.
