Hi,
I’m new to furniture repair and woodwork. I am working on restoring a mid-century chair that has a torn canvas support strap. I was wondering if anyone has advice on how I can fix this or if someone can recommend a person in the new york city area that can do the job.
See the attached file for the piece.
Thanks for the advice.
Best,
g

Look for a place that sells upholstery supplies and tell them exactly what it's for. Since it's torn, take a short piece with you.
Any upholstery shop should have webbing and many fabric stores will have it too.
Take a piece with you so you get the right size, and get enough to replace all of it
