Hi – I was watching Matt Berger’s video on making a mission style bed which I like and am thinking of trying.  I’m wondering if I need to go with oak like he did.  I tend to like fir and I have a lot of it laying around in the shop.  Would this work for a bed or would it not be strong enough (do I need to go with a hardwood)?
