Who has the best quality for the money? Some of the stuff I have seen locally in the woodworking stores has poor quality of welds in the wyes and other junctions, which I feel could cause clogging.
Does anyone know about the quality of Jet ductwork?
Thanks,
Charlie

I bought mine from Oneida. Good quality and not that expensive. If they provided you with a design, I'd use their ducting and blast gates. You could also Google for options to theirs.

I got my Oneida 2HP Com'l unit a couple of weeks ago and I am using 6" PVC S&D pipe. I am terminating the pipe with Oneida fittings.
My guess is I am saving about 40% of the Oneida cost of the duct work.

I'm working on the same issue. How, specifically, did you go from the 6"PVC S&D to the Oneida fittings? Thanks.
Send me your email address and I send you a picture of how easy they go together._________________________________

My email is [email protected]. I was hoping to have PVC be the trunk lines but was concerned about how to go from the PVC to the metal. I look forward to seeing your pictures.(others in the thread may be interested as well). thanks.
I have used PVC but you need to earth it as it generates a high level of static electricity which, if not earthed could generate a fire in the wood dust.
I use a 2hp Grizzly cannister unit (1700 CFM) and only use PVC connecting to black flex hose for drops to my machines. I have blast gates in each flex section just before each machine. I use a three car garage full of 220V machines and the design allows for disconnecting all my hoses and rolling my machines into one bay, so I can park two cars when the shop is "packed away."
I have been running this for a couple of months now and have no grounding on the pipes, I have noticed no static at all. Perhaps its the rainy weather in Central California? So far so good.
The cost was a fraction of using steel.
I tried sending an email to your edu address and it bounced. Is there an alternative?
Michael,
I too would like to see the pics if you don't mind posting it on the Forum. I used metal for the duct work but when I relocate in a few years I want to consider PVC.

I'm sorry; I was doing too many things at once. My email is [email protected]. thanks.
Thanks for the replies. I think I will use Oneida's duct work and will try to post some photo's in the gallery section after it is complete.

Charlie
