Trying to decide of Slot Mortiser or similar for one man shop. Looking for some insight on the best route to consider in cutting slots for loose tenon joinery in an efficient manner, willing to spend up to about $4000. Options I’ve found so far:
– Laguna Platinum V-Way Slot Mortiser; looks like a decent machine but not as versatile as
– Laguna LBM 200 Mortiser
– JDS Multi-Router. reviews seem to be almost universal as a well regarded machine
– Shop-built, perhaps something like Pantorouter (like the ability to use templates)
Are there other options, I’ve done some Internet searches but haven’t come up with much else. I’m hoping to get some good advise and opinions from folks who have used slot mortisers and alternatives.
Thanks

Multi-Router over slot mortiser anyday
I had the Laguna Platinum mortiser, but got rid of it as soon as I got a Multi-Router. The slot mortiser just could not match the speed, precesion and repeatability of the Multi-Router.
