My Delta Cabinet saw is about 10 years old and works fanastic. Like many, I took off the splitter. After reading about the new saws and riving knives, I want to install one on my saw.
Are there any after market riving knives that can be installed?

Splitters are readily available that are much superior to the original equipment splitter/blade guard. Biesemeyer (now owned by the same folks that own Delta ) makes a good one. It's not a true riving knife--it tilts with the blade but doen't rise and fall with it. Attaches and removes with no tools. (After original installation, of course.)
Sure there are aftermarket splitters. They work almost as good as a rivving knife, and are easy to change out. Infact, Delta makes a good one. Just look up on a Delta Tool website. I purchased an aftermarket Delta brand splitter that was acutually designed to fit my Powermatic 66 cabinet saw; which , like your saw, is over 10 years old.
One problem though, these splitters are designed to work with standard kerf blades. Thin kerf blades are not compatible, so if you use mostly thin kerf blades, make sure the splitter you order is for thin kerf blades. The cost is approx $125.00 They are easy to install.
Good luck.

The BORK offers a retrofit riving knife that fits some saws.

As Scott stated.. BORG makes one for the Uni-saw I believe. You stated you had a Delta Cabinet so I assume a Uni-saw which is the only cabinet saw I am aware Delta made since 1937. If you decide to go with a splitter in lieu of a $125 Biese.. I would consider the Shark Guard by Lee Styrone who custom makes them down in Mobile, Ala. About a two month wait but you not only get a custom splitter.. you get quick release.. a great dust collector shield on top.
Before I would spend $125 on a splitter alone.. I would consider the Shark Guard (just Google it) or do what I did on my Uni-saw before I upgraded to an industrial 5 HP... simply make one. I cut a $3 small frame square into lenght... cut a U in the bottom to go over the 5/16" spliiter bolt... added a $3 spring loaded quick release T nut and filed the front edge. With a Uni-saw I saw no need for thin keft blades. I also made one that only sits 1/4" above the table for non through cuts that are deeper than 1/4".
Good luck...
