Greetings –
I’ve been surfing all the DC mfr’s sites to try to find some after market canister type filters for my system. I recently purchased the Grizzley cyclone unit which works fine but the bags are pretty worthless with respect to fine particle filtration. Not even Grizzley, it would appear, offer anything in the way of a pleated canister type filter with smaller particle filtration for this unit.
The outlet from the top of the cyclone to the dust bag is 8″. Seems like a slam dunk to get something with an 8″ or bigger inlet and stick attach it to my machine. Or do cyclones just not like pleated canister filters?
My DC machine is outside under cover but I’d still like to keep the side of my shop from looking like the outside of a grainery mill.

Oh, I think they like them fine. Don't know why Grizzly doesn't offer something like this:

Guess I didn't look far or long enough! Thanks for the links, Jamie. These things ain't cheap, though, are they. But cheaper than an iron lung I suspect. Thanks again.I'm also considering building a return air plenum arrangement to allow filtered air to re-enter the shop through some sub micron cleanable or changeable filters. This would help minimize the exhausting of heated air in the winter............

Just turned out that I'd been browsing the DCs recently and remembered seeing them. Check out Jet too (their new web site is terrible, maybe you have a big products catalog?).
Your idea about returning the air sounds like a good one. Let us know how it goes!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
