I have a Jet 18″ Bandsaw and the Fence that came with it leaves much to be desired. Is there a good Aftermarket Fence for this model? Would also like to hear about guide upgrades. – Thanks

The only American bandsaws readily available here, are the Jet models . The fence on the 18" model available here is a lot better than the fences on various Oriental and European makes (probably also made in Korea / Taiwan) that we get here.
I'm therefore also interested in the replies .

I do not have a Jet Bandsaw.. But if it lock well.. Maybe not.. Usually you can rig a wider holder that clamps to the back of the fence... Usually what get ya in trouble..
I love my RICON saw.. BUT the fence moves when adjusting it.. I put a spreader on the back that 'spands the rail to keep it even with the rail.. Works great!
EDIT: Back of fence moves a bit.. Put somethin' back there to prevent it!

Check out Mark Dugenskie's book on the bandsaw. He shows a homemade one that I like very much. Corrects for drift and is micro adjustable in incriments of .004". Really simple to build from shop scraps. Try to get his video on the bandsaw and learn a bunch of neat tricks, including cutting dovetails on bandsaw.
