Most any compressor will work but air brush compressors are typically quieter and they do make them with a pressure switch as well. The cheaper air brush compressors are for bleeder type guns which the compressor runs full time and the air is always flowing out of the tip of the air brush and lets paint flow when you hit the trigger. Do a google search for air brush compressor and I'm sure there are air brush forums that already have the answer to your question.
