I bought this small 8 amp 115 v tankless air compresser.
It says “oiless” but I think the pistons still need lube. Am I right?
First, what lube to use? Is it just motor oil?
Second, from the picture, could one decide where to add the lube? There are too large nuts on each piston (see picture). One is for air intake (one air filter is missing).
What is the other closed nut for? Is it for adding oil?
I trust that this is a common design and the experienced should now how to make sure that there is enough lube for the pistons.
There is also a nut at the bottom. Would it be for oil drain? At a higher level is the compressed air outlet.

It looks like a diaphram type compressor to me in which case there is no "piston" and it truly is oiless.
The "nuts" on the head are probably to access the valves.
What is the make and model?

If it says "oiless", then it doesn't need oil - and trying to oil it would probably wreck it.
Do you have an owners manual? From the picture, it looks like a fairly old compressor, and if you have (or can get) an owners manual, it might give you information about maintenance and repair.
