I have a nice 5 hp/80 gal.tank air compressor. My problem is moisture, especially when using a small sandblaster, clogging nozzles.I drain the tank weekly. The moisture , from condensate, comes from warm air in cool pipes.Does anyone know how to build a dryer for the air or maybe some other solution for the moisture.thanks

You can go to grainger or other industrial supply companies & buy a moisture trap/filter & it should be installed 12-20ft from the tank down low then run the air line that comes out of the tank 6-8ft higher that the water trap(this helps due to water is heivier than air ) then back down to your regulator.
Get a water separator from any industrial supply house; don't try to build one. Put a lever type valve on the bottom of your compressor and drain it after each use or every day.

HD and Sears have them too.
If you don't want to drain the tank you can buy automatic drains that work either on a float or on a timer.
You'll need a moisture separator in the air line as the others have said. If you have a regulator in the system, the moisture separator should be on the high pressure side.
In addition to the normal moisture traps, I use a refrigerated water remover. It is a unit with a refrigerator type unit in it that cools the air and condenses out the moisture. Works great. (glad I didn't have to buy it however, they are kind of pricey..)
